We are the UK's leading experts in the field of public ownership of commercial entities, such as local authority owned limited companies and LLPs. We have provided consultancy, advice and ongoing support to many of the most high-profile public authorities, including those who are subject to formal UK Government intervention. Our impartial, confidential and clear approach has gained the trust of critical stakeholders and helped our clients find solutions to some of the most difficult challenges facing the public sector today.
PROJECTS
We work with public, private and third sector organisations. Recent projects include commercial governance reviews for local authorities and their companies, as well as development and delivery of commercial recovery plans for high-profile local authorities' and their commercial entities. We've also completed board reviews for group companies in the technical services sector and governance and risk reviews on behalf of shareholders in all sectors.
ABOUT US
Ethical Commercial was created by Michael Hainge FRSA and Ian Edward CPFA. They jointly have more than half a century of experience of commercial, financial, operational and business development director roles in the public and private sectors.
Ian is a CIPFA qualified accountant and law graduate, and a former Commercial Director in a blue chip FTSE 50 company.
Michael is a former local authority Commercial Director and Best Value inspector appointed to report on local authority commercial matters. He holds the Diploma in Environment, Sustainability and Governance, and is a qualified and accredited commercial and civil mediator.
