ECS were asked to help Slough Borough Council evaluate commercial options for early termination and in-sourcing of a multi-faceted outsource contract. Salford asked ECS to create a programme of activities to help them exit a major contract and bring services in house at the expiry of a 15-year joint venture with its private sector partner. This was to be completed within 18 months prioritising the safe transfer of c450 staff, all processes, ICT, data, fleet and assets to the Council and procure additional technical consultancy services. ECS were asked to evaluate commercial options for two existing and long-standing trading companies. The client had concerns over companies’ governance and a recent fall in profits, despite healthy turnover. We were asked to investigate and share our findings and recommendations with the client.
