88% in the commercial and contracts community want increased levels of collaboration

Research by the International Association of Commercial Contract Management (now World Commerce and Contracting) found that "88% [of respondents] hope for increased levels of collaboration and a more 'fair and reasonable' approach to negotiations". Further, some 74% believe these changes will actually happen. The full report may be found on the WCC website.

Our own experience certainly supports these findings and we'd be very interested to know what others' views are.

We've recently started working with both buyers and suppliers as an independent advisor to help maximise the value of contracts for all parties using a collaborative, open approach. We will also be launching a new mediation service to provide a forum in which commercial disagreements can be resolved without having to resort to costly legal fees and litigation. More details will follow soon.
